Finding your way
You know what is one of the hardest things in this world to do? Finding your purpose in life when you feel lost.
We may not know what we're supposed to do or where we're supposed to go. Being lost is taking up the bulk of your time because you don't want to deal with feeling like you don't have control! This is especially true when it comes to our relationship with God. In times of difficulty however, it's important to remember that God is always with us. He never leaves us alone, even when we can't see Him. If you're feeling stuck right now, don't worry! The following blog post will help you take the first steps to find your way back to God and discover your purpose in life as you seek Him.
Taking the First Steps back to God
Feeling lost can be one of the most frustrating experiences. You want to achieve great things for God, you know that you have somewhere to go, and that God has a purpose for your life and you desperately want to find the next step that you need to take. So where do you start?
The issue is how grand all of this feels, it checks all the boxes which makes us feel overwhelmed:
God = creator of universe, that's pretty majestic.
My life's purpose = yeah we don't wanna mess that one up...
Getting closer to God and achieving the purpose that He has for my life???? = akjnsbcufjadbunjbsunojdbda ondjnjsjdojbn;aobj;dabs askmnd0928er2h
No wonder we can feel stuck sometimes...
But that's precisely it, the overly grand and majestic feeling we have about those subjects are true, and yet the approach to each of those is where we may benefit from simplicity in our approach.
Have you ever played hide and seek with a child? You know, that age when they have enough understanding to play the game but not to strategize. They hide behind the curtain and think,
"I have the best hiding spot right now!" When in reality their feet poke out from under the curtain!!!
I remember playing hide and seek with my wife's youngest sister. We would run around with her and she would have the time of her life, when we yelled, "ready or not here we come." She would wait a max of three seconds and then scream, "IM HERE!!"
I am HERE!
When YOU feel lost, the best thing you can do is to SEEK God. See, this is the thing, feeling lost can sometimes make it feel like God is hidden, when in all reality He is hiding in plain sight, waiting for you to find Him, exclaiming, "IM HERE" so that you can find Him easily... if you're looking for Him. And wow, finding Him is the best decision that we can make! He will help you find your purpose and guide you on your journey. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you seek God:
Prioritize His presence: Prioritizing God's presence is the act of making a space for God FIRST in your life. This means that whatever disciplines you might act upon to enrich your relationship with Him, you do those first. You seek them first when you need Him and even when you feel you don't need Him. You make finding God everyday your priority.
Pray: Praying is one of the best ways to connect with God. It's the primary way for us to communicate with Him and receive whatever it is that we need as we continue on our journey. As Christians we have access to all the information that we need, however the things about information that isn't accessed is that its doing nothing for you if you haven't sought it.
Act in Obedience: Obedience is the key to unlocking the next step. Simply put, if God has already spoken to you about something you need to do, He typically won't give you a next step if you haven't completed the one He already gave you. It can be difficult to obey sometimes, but as we do it we grow closer to God and He reveals more of Himself and His plans for us.
If you feel lost today, take some time to seek God. Spend time in prayer and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Be obedient to the things that He's already asked you to do, and prioritize His presence. As you take these simple steps you will see that the unstoppable presence of God will move through you, giving you the strength that you need to carry out the purpose God has called you to!
Until next time! Keep your eyes fixed on Him AND DO NOT WORRY! He has a plan!!!

I felt like I was loosing my faith, as if my purpose God has for me was fine. Until I read this and really put my mind to it. I am forever grateful for my sister to send me this.
